The Dura-Trel 7.75-Foot White Vinyl Estate Fan Trellis gives support to climbing flowers and vines, while the pointed finials add a classic touch. Climbing flowers and vines will also create just the right amount of privacy to your walkway or garden. This trellis is constructed of high-grade PVC vinyl that carries a 20-year warranty. It is durable and maintenance-free, too. UV stabilizers protect the vinyl from harmful ultraviolet rays, so it will not fade over time. As an additional bonus, this trellis will never need painting. Includes four wall-mounting brackets.

Assembly instructions are included with each Dura-Trel product. Please read and follow all instructions. All products come completely fabricated. All items are cut to size, all holes are routed and pilot holes are drilled. All you need to do is put the pieces together with our simple to understand instructions and drawings, and secure with screws or bolts.

Care

This product is virtually maintenance free. To keep clean use soap and water to wipe down. For tougher stains it is recommended to use lacquer thinner.

      Only 3 of the horizontal slats have a closed bottom. When the vertical poles are being inserted, you may find the slat does not go through the horizontal slat. That is because the poles are tapered to different lengths, but the vertical STILL has to go into the slat, not sit on top of it. If your slat is closed on the top and open on the bottom side, bees and wasps would welcome the open invitation to build a nest. Solution is to have you remove all the screw caps, unscrew the screws, pull apart the offending slats, re-insert, then re-connect the trellis. Much easier if those 3 slats were highlighted from the beginning. Also, the 2 outside poles have a top and bottom with different measurements above and below the finished trellis. Again, solution is to pull apart the trellis and reverse the poles. Were the poles made with equal measurement spacing above and below, this would be no problem. Just time consuming to pull it apart.

          Q1: Can this trellis be freestanding instead of wall-mounted?

          A: The trellis is designed to be wall-mounted with included hardware. Due to the size of the trellis, if you did want to use this as a freestanding trellis you would need to attach some type of post - such as a 4 x 4 wood post - to the trellis for increased stability and to support. Generally, it's recommended for the posts to be 8 - 14 inches in the ground.
