This thing looked so pretty. It was very easy to put together, but it is the flimsiest arch I have ever seen. The connecting posts break in half at the least bit of pressure. Be sure to use at LEAST two people to put it up because if it sways too far and you lose control, the connecting pieces will snap in two. The vinyl seems to be thick enough at 1mm, but the connecting posts do not make a tight fit and it has way too much sway. The connectors break at what appears to be a middle seam in the plastic. One piece molded construction would have been better. Also, once together it is virtually impossible to take apart without damaging the vinyl, so you can't return it.

I bought the arbor to support a climbing rose. I wanted a classic design (clean lines; white; elegant; with big enough openings in the trellis to accommodate the rose canes.) The arbor fits the bill. Visually, it's a lovely addition to my garden. And I like the fact that it's vinyl, especially in the wet climate of the Northwest.

The biggest disadvantage is the fact that very few pilot holes were drilled. I had to call the distributor twice for help in assembly. And a drill bit was not included in the kit so I had to go out and buy one. Not expensive but inconvenient. It took two people and quite a bit of time to secure the two trellises and the arch. The biggest challenge was to make sure things were square. Had there been pilot holes, the assembly would be have been much quicker and foolproof. I strongly suggest the design be altered in this way.

I have been dreaming of putting an arbor in my front garden...one I could afford and that is pretty. The parts are not well made, vertical slats had tabs missing and could not lock into place. Called Customer service they were nice and helpful.
Sending me the two pieces, so now I have to wait to finish my project. Hope it holds up to Florida winds in Hurrican season...I think I'll just secure arch temporarily without cement then take down if we have a storm. Hope the arch is sturdy enough.
